How to Keep From Chaffing

6There’s nothing better to ruin a great long run like red, raw skin. You all know what I am talking about, and if you don’t, you will at some point. There’s good news though! You can avoid this annoying reminder of your 20 miler with one product. I am a big fan of Body Glide. The reason I use this over other products is because it isn’t sticky, oily, or messy. You just rub it anywhere that your skin rubs together. I usually chafe at my armpits, towards my back (weird, I know) and under my sports bra right in the middle of my upper torso. When I forget to rub Body Glide on prior to my runs, I even have a little scar to remind me of my forgetfulness. However, when I use Body Glide, I never chafe. The bottle is small enough to take with you to a race in your bag and you just rub it on like deodorant. I have had the same tube for about 3 years, it lasts a long time.
